Responsibilities
Ensure uptime and optimal functioning of all websites and components throughout the company
Oversee the development process for all website projects. Manage website and IT team members including HR needs, delegation of tasks, day-to-day operations, staffing, and all management tasks needed to ensure all company needs are met
Propose, design, develop, implement, test, deploy, maintain, enhance, and repair websites and tech based systems throughout the company
Assist in the hands-on development and communication about projects from conception to deployment, maintenance, and necessary repair
Work with the development team to ensure optimal performance of the websites and other technologies, and assist with solutions to development projects, needs, and problems. Ensure uptime on all website systems and manage any emergent website needs
Work closely with the Chief Customer Experience Officer and others to create website projects and tasks along with deadlines, prioritization, and resource allocation
Perform technical audits and forecast needs of websites and other technologies regularly and provide recommendations for improvements
Assist and lead the development team in other software development projects as needed, including but not limited to website maintenance and enhancement, and the integration of web, app, warehouse, and e-commerce systems
Plan and lead regularly scheduled meetings with the development team along with creation of development cadence and sprint schedules as needed
Manage development team HR needs, including coaching, employee development, performance reviews, disciplinary action as needed, and any other HR needs that arise. Lead development team recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts as needed
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and news and assist with any internal technical training and third-party vendor correspondence
Qualification
Required
5+ years experience in website development management
Experience with hands-on website development (Shopify and WordPress)
Bachelor's degree, certifications, or extensive experience in web development or a related technical discipline
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring)
Familiarity with: Google, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL
Experience with web technologies, including but not limited to Google Tags, Wordpress plug-ins, GraphQL, and page optimization preferred
Knowledge of web analytics, social media and marketing integrations, and SEO
Knowledge of e-commerce, cross-browser compatibility, security principles, object-oriented design, web services, and multimedia content development
