Responsibilities
Client Engagement: Travel within the sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers consistently
Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by developing new customer relationships and increasing business
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, customer accounts, and sales
Market Awareness: Monitor industry competitors and market conditions to understand customer requirements
Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to build, maintain, and expand brand presence
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, company products, and solutions
VMI Oversight: Provide oversight of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs
Inventory Analysis: Review inventory trends, forecasts, and historical demand, and coordinate with Inventory Control Analysts and Inside Sales to set appropriate replenishment levels
Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve inventory, billing, and delivery discrepancies to ensure customer satisfaction and operational accuracy
KPI Management & Reporting: Track, manage, and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
Capital Project Oversight: Coordinate and support capital project material needs and delivery schedules with Irby warehouse operations
Qualification
Required
Proven outside sales experience (3+ years)
Strong consultative and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and presentation abilities
Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
