Responsibilities

Lead the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program across credit, operational, cybersecurity, legal, and strategic risk
Oversee compliance with NCUA, CFPB, BSA/AML, OFAC, Fair Lending, UDAAP, and other financial regulations
Provide legal and regulatory guidance on governance, contract risk, examinations, and high-risk matters
Lead risk reporting for the CEO, Board, and Risk Committee, including dashboards and assessments
Partner with internal audit and business units to implement strong internal controls and policy updates
Support strategic initiatives with risk and legal analysis

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (required)
10+ years of risk, legal, or compliance leadership experience in a bank, credit union, or regulated financial institution
Strong knowledge of NCUA regulations, CFPB rules, Dodd-Frank, Fair Lending, BSA/AML, and enterprise-risk frameworks
Proven ability to lead ERM programs and work effectively with regulators and executive leadership
Outstanding communication, judgment, and strategic problem-solving skills

Preferred

CRO, VP Risk, Chief Compliance Officer, or similar executive experience
Certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, CERP, or FRM
