Business Development Manager (Energy Sector)
Big Top USA is a leading manufacturer and installer of high-performance fabric structures, currently seeking a strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Energy sector. The role involves architecting long-term growth strategies, identifying partnerships, and closing complex deals in the energy market.

Responsibilities
Research, identify, and execute new growth initiatives specifically tailored for direct end-users in the energy and utilities space
Discover, define, and close corporate-level opportunities while strengthening long-term partnerships at the facility level
Identify, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the ROI of sales initiatives and pivot strategies based on data
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to ensure consistent brand messaging and technical positioning across the energy sector
Provide high-level support and sector-specific training to segment sales teams to improve their win rates in the energy market
Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to provide actionable insights for future product development
Qualification
Required
Deep understanding of the energy sector's procurement processes, safety standards, and infrastructure needs
Proven track record of managing complex, B2B sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
Exceptional presentation skills; ability to translate technical product benefits into business value for C-suite executives
Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot) and sales enablement tools
Ability to interpret market data and generate actionable growth plans
Thrives in a fast-paced, private-equity-backed environment where 'ownership' and initiative are rewarded
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field required
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in direct-to-end-user sales within the energy or industrial sectors
Ability to travel 40% or more based on business needs and client locations
Must be able to meet customer site access requirements, including background checks, drug testing, and security clearances
Ability to navigate industrial job sites and communicate effectively in both office and field environments
Constant operation of a computer and standard office machinery
Must be able to accurately exchange information with co-workers, customers, vendors, and management
Preferred
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred
