Responsibilities
Assess existing network drive structures and identify opportunities to improve organization, naming conventions, and usability prior to migration
Design and implement SharePoint information architecture, including sites, libraries, folders, metadata, and retention considerations
Configure and manage SharePoint security, including permissions, groups, access controls, and inheritance best practices
Ensure data access aligns with business roles, least-privilege principles, and compliance requirements
Establish governance standards for SharePoint usage, including documentation, guidelines, and ongoing maintenance practices
Partner with IT and business stakeholders to understand data ownership, access needs, and workflow requirements
Provide guidance on best practices for SharePoint Online, including site design, collaboration, and lifecycle management
Support or advise on migration execution to ensure content is moved securely and appropriately
Identify risks related to data exposure, duplication, or improper access and proactively address them
