Responsibilities
Collect blood samples from patients
Accurately identify, lab transfer and process specimens
Receives and instructs patients, nurses, staff physicians, doctor’s offices regarding proper collection of specimens and laboratory reports, procedures and other lab information
Receives and instructs patients, interprets physician’s orders, enters orders into lab computer system and schedules appointments
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient use of computers
Preferred
Phlebotomy training certification preferred
Experience preferred
