Responsibilities
Provide hands-on production support for Java-based distributed applications
Triage and resolve production incidents, performance issues, and system outages
Work closely with engineering and development teams to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes
Support AWS cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools (Datadog preferred)
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations
Maintain operational readiness through DR testing, audits, playbooks, and patching
Ensure system reliability, observability, and compliance
Qualification
Required
6–10 years of experience in Production Support, Systems Engineering, or SRE-type roles
Strong hands-on experience with Java applications in production
Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS)
Proven ability to troubleshoot under pressure and handle high-severity incidents
Excellent communication skills, especially when working with business stakeholders
Experience with messaging systems (IBM MQ, Kafka)
Preferred
Support AWS cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools (Datadog preferred)
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations
