Responsibilities
Develop enterprise-grade applications for our insurance platforms using modern Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js and Jutro
Handle frontend development efforts using TailwindCSS, custom component libraries, and responsive design principles
Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services that are secure, scalable, and performant
Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to gather requirements, assess technical feasibility, and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions
Drive best practices in testing, code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization
Contribute to system architecture and design decisions, advocating for maintainability, performance, and reliability
Participate in peer code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and help define and refine engineering standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with demonstrated full-stack engineering capabilities
Practical experience working with the Guidewire Jutro framework
Strong understanding of component-based architecture, modular code organization, and reusable UI patterns
Experience building secure, scalable web applications and backend services
Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and automated test frameworks
Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and conduct thoughtful, constructive code reviews

Experience working in a multi-team enterprise architecture setting
