Sales Resource Writer II - ISWM

M&T Bank is a financial institution seeking a Sales Resource Writer II to support the creation of proposals and sales materials. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and maintain project ownership throughout the sales cycle.

Financial Services

Responsibilities

Interact with sales teams, Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, Product Managers, Performance team, subject matter experts and senior management to support creation and development of winning proposals and presentations to prospects and clients
Work with Legal and Compliance to ensure developed materials are fully compliant with all related laws and regulations
Maintain ownership of all assigned projects through sales cycle, including meeting all deadlines
Ensure internal reporting is complete and accurate for deal flow
Utilize internal and external systems to research new business opportunities
Partner with Marketing to ensure consistent messaging and brand delivery for all material developed
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable
Complete other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Detail-oriented
Experience multi-tasking and adhering to strict deadlines
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with pertinent word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
Prior experience working independently and collaboratively
Prior experience being highly flexible and adaptive to change
Professional appearance
Prior experience creating presentations and other sales proposal materials that pointedly respond to identified client needs

Preferred

Minimum of 7 years proposal writing experience
Proven project management skills
Proven time management skills
High quality writing skills
Self-starter with ability to recognize and implement new initiatives when needed
Prior experience working with senior management
Exposure to financial services, banking, or investment management
Solid understanding of financial industry products and services
