Epic Project Manager - Revenue Cycle and 3rd Party Applications
iMethods is seeking an Epic Project Manager for Revenue Cycle and 3rd-Party Applications who is responsible for leading, coordinating, and driving successful delivery of Epic-related Revenue Cycle initiatives and integrated third-party applications throughout the Epic implementation lifecycle. This role plays a critical leadership function in addressing existing Revenue Cycle pain points, stabilizing workflows, and ensuring operational readiness through strong change management, testing discipline, and stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for Revenue Cycle and integrated 3rd-party applications within the Epic implementation
Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies across Epic and non-Epic systems
Ensure alignment between internal teams, Epic, and external vendors throughout all project phases, including Phase 0 activities
Drive accountability to agreed-upon milestones and deliverables
Address known Revenue Cycle challenges, including:
Broken or inefficient workflows
Challenged or fragmented technologies
Operational readiness and adoption gaps
Partner with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to design, stabilize, and optimize Revenue Cycle workflows
Support automation, adoption, and change management initiatives tied to Revenue Cycle transformation
Serve as the primary coordination point for all Revenue Cycle-related 3rd-party applications
Collaborate closely with the internally hired 3rd-party applications manager to:
Ensure vendor timelines and milestones are met
Validate integration readiness and dependencies
Maintain alignment with Epic build and testing schedules
Ensure all 3rd-party applications meet Epic integration and testing standards
Provide day-to-day oversight, guidance, and prioritization for a team of Epic analysts supporting Revenue Cycle and related applications
Monitor analyst workload, deliverables, and quality of work
Facilitate collaboration across analyst teams, Epic application teams, and operational stakeholders
Identify risks, skill gaps, or resourcing needs and escalate appropriately
Ensure integrated test plans are current, complete, and executable
Coordinate and oversee:
Unit testing
Integrated testing
End-to-end workflow validation
Track testing progress, defect resolution, and readiness metrics
Drive change management strategies to support adoption and operational readiness
Develop and execute communication plans for stakeholders at all levels
Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and executive-level reporting
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Project Manager supporting Epic implementations, with a strong focus on Revenue Cycle
Demonstrated experience managing 3rd-party healthcare applications and system integrations
Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle workflows, dependencies, and operational impacts
Experience leading or overseeing teams of Epic analysts or technical resources
Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and complex dependencies in large-scale implementations
Preferred
Epic Revenue Cycle module experience (e.g., Resolute HB/PB, Claims, Charging, or related workflows)
Experience supporting Phase 0 or early-stage Epic implementation activities
Background in healthcare IT transformation, workflow redesign, or operational optimization
PMP or equivalent project management certification
