Responsibilities
Competently performs routine and specialized interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, or electrophysiology procedures to produce quality images for physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease
Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and uses clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner
Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or teaching duties
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Graduation from an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist program
Graduation from an accredited Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist program
ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologists when working in Interventional Radiology
CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist when working in Interventional Radiology
RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy if required by entity when working in Interventional Radiology
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider when working in Interventional Radiology
ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologists when working in Cardiovascular Technology
CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist when working in Cardiovascular Technology
RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy if required by entity when working in Cardiovascular Technology
RCIS-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist when working in Cardiovascular Technology
CVT-Certified Vascular Technologist when working in Cardiovascular Technology
CCT-Certified Cardiographic Technician when working in Cardiovascular Technology
RVT-Registered Vascular Technologist when working in Cardiovascular Technology
