Responsibilities
Lead daily shop operations and oversee all repair and maintenance work
Perform diagnostics and diesel repairs when needed
Train and mentor mechanics and the trainee technician
Ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations
Coordinate with office staff to streamline communication and scheduling
Order parts and manage shop inventory
Support service and parts sales by building relationships with customers
Ensure excellent customer service and turnaround time
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, brake systems, and DOT standards
Able to step in and work on trucks when needed
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be reliable, motivated, and a team leader
Preferred
Prior experience managing a shop or crew
Sales or customer-facing experience in a service environment
