MAKE 2026 Mfg Engineering Intern

Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be part of a team responsible for the support of complex automated manufacturing equipment
The candidate will work in the manufacturing engineering team
They will participate on machine development, equipment changes and testing protocols
Position is adjustable to the candidate’s skill set and will be tailored to specific areas of need and candidates background
Candidates will maintain active, regular communication and involvement with internal and external project team members
The candidate will maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance always
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled engineering student in good standing
Working towards a qualified engineering degree
Pursuing a degree in all Engineering Majors
Highly motivated and can work independently on one or multiple projects under general direction
Exhibit attention to detail
Establish and foster collaboration and partnership internally and externally
Good sense of priorities and manages time accordingly
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience presenting in front of multidisciplinary audiences
Attending team meetings face to face and by teleconference
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software
Intermediate to advanced software skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the session
Provide own transportation to the location
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa status
Preferred
High mechanical aptitude
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Engineering students who like to 'tinker' and/or work with their hands
