This role involves recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating student and part-time staff, as well as overseeing various fitness programs.

Responsibilities
Manage the operations of all Campus Recreation fitness programs, facilities, and activity spaces
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate upwards of 60+ student and part-time staff
Manage two fitness centers
Oversee group fitness, personal training, and other instructional and specialty fitness programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports and Recreation Management or a closely related field. Can substitute education with nationally recognized certifications in group fitness and/or personal training
3-5 years of experience in fitness programming and management, including personal training and/or group fitness
Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid, or the ability to obtain from a nationally recognized organization within the first (6) months of employment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize projects and responsibilities
Preferred
Nationally recognized certification in group fitness and personal training
Previous work experience with college students or college-age populations
