Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the electrical design of new products and enhancements to existing product lines
Analyze complex engineering problems and deliver practical, high-impact solutions
Evaluate designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and profitability
Interpret and apply customer requirements, industry codes, and internal design/manufacturing standards
Review design outcomes and provide feedback to ensure alignment with performance, cost, and marketing timelines
Ensure accurate product application and scope for transformer solutions
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, operations, quality, marketing, and applications engineering teams
Optimize designs for manufacturability from concept stage through production launch
Support operations during new product introductions
Maintain design, manufacturing, and process documentation
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Contribute to design system and process improvements
Act as a technical liaison across functions and mentor junior engineers
Support basic technical project management across engineering, operations, sales, service, and components teams
Qualification
Required
Advanced expertise in electrical engineering and product design
Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and industry practices
Solid foundation in product technology, including mechanical design and product testing
Working knowledge of related technologies such as heat transfer, magnetics, dielectrics, materials, and IS systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical solutions to business strategy
Ability to guide non-technical stakeholders toward effective technical solutions
Proven track record of meeting commitments with integrity and ethical leadership
Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
8+ years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
