Controls Engineer
Mohawk Technology, LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team in Delano or Menahga, MN. The Controls Engineer will design, develop, and supervise electrical control systems and machinery, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Design and develop control systems for automated machinery and equipment
Conduct system testing and validation procedures
Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems
Collaborate with various engineering teams and customers
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operation manuals
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Provide technical support for ongoing projects
Must satisfactorily comply with alcohol and controlled substance company policies
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Traveling estimated at 20-30%

Qualification
Required

Able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., construction sites, manufacturing floors)
Walking, standing, going up and down stairs, sitting, kneeling, crouching, bending for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and heavier weights on an infrequent basis
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Wearing PPE complying with the customer's and company's safety standards, including safety-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs
Moving around facilities on-site on a frequent basis, which can be very large with multiple floors and rooms
Typical office hours: 8 am – 5 pm
Occasional nights and weekends
On-Site Hours: Hours may vary, but are typically 12+

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Experience with control system design, programming, and commissioning
Experience with common PLC hardware (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and software (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk)
Strong understanding of control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI technologies
Experience with motion control and robotic systems is a bonus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
