Administrative Assistant - Engineering Permitting
Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Administrative Assistant for a large, well-established organization supporting engineering and construction activities. This position plays a key role in coordinating permit applications, tracking approvals, and supporting internal project teams within an Engineering Permit function.

Responsibilities
Process and submit permit applications to state, county, and local agencies for construction, maintenance, and repair projects
Track permit applications, approvals, and deadlines using internal databases and reporting tools
Monitor internal reports to support the timely receipt of permits and identify potential delays
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all requested and received permits
Coordinate with internal engineering and project personnel to collect required documentation and project details
Initiate and process check requests and payments related to permits and agency fees
Distribute approved permits to appropriate personnel and prepare related correspondence
Communicate with governmental agencies regarding permit status, follow-ups, and verbal approvals for fast-track or emergency work
Prepare address lists, notification letters, and post-construction documentation as required
Maintain and update contact lists for permitting agencies and officials
Generate and maintain reports supporting permit tracking, compliance, and payment activities
Perform additional administrative and project support tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
0–2 years of administrative or project support experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other Windows-based applications
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and data organization tasks
Experience completing forms, maintaining databases, and tracking deadlines
Ability to read, learn, and apply codes, regulations, and procedural guidelines
Preferred
Experience working with documentation related to engineering, construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects preferred
Familiarity with SAP, ESRI, GViewer, or similar systems is a plus
