Responsibilities
Plan and conduct quality inspections, analyses, testing, and evaluations to ensure products and components meet specifications and quality requirements
Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with internal requirements, quality manuals, and company records
Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze process data and evaluate current and proposed manufacturing processes
Review purchased products and components and provide input on supplier acceptance, corrective actions, and future sourcing decisions
Identify quality issues and develop innovative, data‑driven solutions to resolve problems discovered during quality assurance activities
Communicate significant quality findings, trends, and improvement recommendations to plant leadership and management
Prepare and present technical quality data, reports, and program updates to cross‑functional teams and leadership
Develop and support product quality plans as part of cross‑functional new product development and process improvement initiatives
Support and promote plant safety initiatives, contributing to injury prevention and lost‑time reduction goals
Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant quality objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing quality role
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing procedures and production methods, including machining and welding
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and modern quality assurance tools and methodologies
Proficiency in a Windows‑based environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and technical drawings
Proven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound quality‑related decisions in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
Experience supporting quality initiatives in an industrial or HVAC manufacturing environment
Exposure to cross‑functional product development teams
Experience working directly with suppliers and managing supplier quality issues
