Responsibilities
Lead a team in designing, modeling, and testing prototypes for new products and process improvements
Develop research proposals, design briefs, and performance criteria for EV-related projects
Select materials, create final specifications, and oversee concept sample production
Apply computational analysis, fluid mechanics, and metallurgical principles for design validation and optimization
Collaborate with APQP teams to ensure successful product development through production support
Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams
Drive continuous improvement in design, testing, and manufacturing practices aligned with EV strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred), ideally in metallurgy, mechanical, or chemical engineering
10+ years in product/process engineering with strong knowledge of fluid mechanics and metallurgy
Hands-on experience with production equipment, lab testing, and prototype development
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and customer communication skills
Ability to travel up to 15%
Preferred
Experience with magnet wire products, automotive manufacturing, and EV components preferred
Familiarity with APQP, automotive product development, and continuous improvement methodologies
