Responsibilities
Work with blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, and engineering drawings to determine critical quality characteristics and the inspection methodology to validate critical to qualify characteristics of components
Use inspection tools and gages including calipers, micrometers, and other testing equipment used in the fabrication, welding, and machining of materials to determine if components meet quality specifications
Monitor product quality
Inspection of materials, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance to specifications and industry standards
Identify and contain non-conforming material. Quarantine and document all non-conforming materials based on procedures
Provide guidance for project quality concerns
Maintain regulatory compliance for inspection requirements, documentation, and traceability in a regulated industry
Identify potential errors and support document control and procedure change requests
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
3 years of experience in a quality inspection role in a related industry required
5 years of experience in a quality inspection role supporting a machining and welding operation in a regulated environment
Understanding of ASME Codes, 10CFR50, NQA-1, and ANSI
Hold Level II per SNT-TC-1A for Liquid Penetrant certification
Hold VT certification per CWI or ANSI N45.2 certification
