Responsibilities
Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment
Assist with routine and preventive maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical equipment, under supervision
Perform regular inspections of building, equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns to senior engineers
Safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment after appropriate training
Document work performed and training activities in work order or maintenance tracking systems
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
Perform other related duties as assigned in support of facility operations
Manage multiple one-time and/or ongoing projects
Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain a safe and secure work environment
Use discretion and judgment in organizing workflow and adapting as priorities are modified due to a changing environment
Frequent contact with employees at all levels of the organization; frequent external contact with vendors
Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles
Drives work vehicles to and from sites
Adheres to all safety precautions
Qualification
Required
Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record
Must be over 18 years old
Ability to read commercial building blueprints and understand electrical single lines and schematics
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to mechanical & electrical systems
Candidates must possess reliable transportation for reporting to work for shifts, or emergencies
Travel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes
Potential employees must complete a background check successfully
Ability to stand 1/3 – 2/3 of the time
Ability to walk 1/3 – 2/3 of the time
Ability to sit 1/3 – 2/3 of the time
Ability to climb and balance 1/3 – 2/3 of the time
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl 1/3 – 2/3 of the time

Ability to smell, talk & hear

Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the time
