Responsibilities

Manage the admissions staff and the entire admissions lifecycle for all three programs, such as: marketing, recruiting, and operations
Partner with program leadership to set and execute the strategic direction of the admissions department
Regularly report on admissions progress and outcomes, using data and industry insights to refine strategies
Grow the applicant pools and ensure the annual enrollment of full cohorts of qualified students
Conduct outreach, communication, application evaluation, data analysis, and collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and alumni
Lead and represent the school at admissions events, both on-campus and off-campus (primarily the West Coast)
Serve as the main point of contact throughout the admissions lifecycle for any internal and external stakeholder
Evaluate applications and craft balanced and dynamic cohorts
Develop and oversee the implementation of a strong yield strategy
Counsel admitted and waitlisted students and hold "yield" events
Oversee various admissions committees, conduct applicant interviews, and verify academic and professional eligibility
Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the admissions team, leading a team of ~10 staff
Oversee admissions budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures to ensure adherence to the budget
Work collaboratively with other departments within the professional programs and with other teams such as Full-time MBA admissions, marketing, finance and UCLA Graduate Division
Represent the programs at professional industry conferences, showcasing UCLA Anderson's strengths and developing strong peer school connections

Required

Demonstrated ability to lead an admissions team and the associated admission team strategic planning, and continuous improvements
Experience in admissions program development and management
Knowledge of cross-cultural differences among applicants and recommenders from around the world and an ability to use this knowledge in evaluating applicants from diverse backgrounds
Broad knowledge of business and industry, including professional experience in MBA and/or business-related fields
Ability to travel, as required (domestic and international) and work evenings, weekends, holidays and other non-traditional work schedules (i.e., Tuesday-Saturday)
Skills in prioritizing numerous tasks to complete all work in a timely fashion
Proven ability to engage and evaluate applicants via interviews
Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to make and support admission recommendations and decisions in a highly competitive admissions environment and to efficiently review large numbers of applications on time and with solid judgment
Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies and to analyze results
Skills in data analysis, forecasting, and synthesis
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to interact effectively with prospective students, faculty, and administrators in person and in writing
Strong presentation and public speaking skills
Proven ability to hire, supervise, train, discipline, evaluate, develop and motivate direct reports and, to the extent required, alumni volunteers
Ability to work as part of a team in a high-performance environment
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage fiscal resources through budget planning and fund management
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office, web design, multimedia software, and survey tools
Experience using customer relationship management systems
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
