Responsibilities
Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting
Study cohort management
Outreach communication with subjects, conducting mailings, follow-up on mailings, and obtaining necessary documents
Provides assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research
Execute lab experiments independently and manage several projects at once
Perform animal surgery
Maintain animal colonies
Coordinate samples collection, processing, and laboratory analysis
Basic statistical analysis and preparation of results/figures for presentation
Communicate with PI to plan experiments and interpret results
Participate in weekly lab meeting with monthly presentation of results
In-patient recruitment and informed consent for participation in clinical research studies
Manage storage and inventory of patient samples, as well as storage of patient medical information in research databases, including Excel and RedCap
Maintain IACUC compliance for animal studies
Maintain IRB compliance for clinical studies, including management of regulatory documents, case report forms, and correspondence with study sponsors
Data extraction from electronic medical records and neuroimaging analysis
Assist with drafting of project and grant applications
Qualification
Required
Prior laboratory research experience
Ability to plan experiments based on established methodologies
Execute lab experiments independently
Manage several projects at once
Perform animal surgery
Maintain animal colonies
Coordinate samples collection, processing, and laboratory analysis
Basic statistical analysis and preparation of results/figures for presentation
Communicate with PI to plan experiments and interpret results
