Field Service Technician
Sterling Engineering is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of advanced CNC and electromechanical equipment at customer sites. The role requires a technically strong problem-solver who enjoys travel and customer interaction while working on complex machinery in real-world environments.

Responsibilities
Install, commission, and perform preventive maintenance on machines at customer sites
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment issues
Provide on-site customer training on machine operation and basic maintenance
Deliver professional, customer-focused service during all customer interactions
Provide remote technical support when not traveling
Support machine installations at trade shows and exhibitions as needed
Document service activities, findings, and corrective actions
Qualification
Required
Associate degree, technical certification, trade school diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Automotive, or related fields
High school diploma required
4+ years of hands-on electromechanical maintenance experience
4+ years of experience working with modern CNC machinery
Strong working knowledge of: Mechanical, electrical/electronic, and pneumatic systems
Strong working knowledge of: CNC equipment and power tools
Strong working knowledge of: Blueprint and schematic interpretation
Strong working knowledge of: PLC fundamentals and basic C++ concepts
Strong working knowledge of: Mechatronics systems
