Responsibilities
Provides direct supervision of Youth Program Aides and volunteers
Organize activities in the gymnasium and game room
Communicate with parents as needed
Help coordinate fundraising and volunteer efforts for all year around youth programs
Responsible for all training of employees planning, assigning, participating, and directing work
Perform administrative duties such as statistics, budgeting and reporting to funders
Communicate and build relationships with community agencies and organizations to informed them of youth program activities throughout the year
Attend and participate of at-risk youth programs and activities in Allentown for information and collaboration purposes
Perform related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or equivalent from two year college
1-3 years of related experience
Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check along with renewals every 5 years
Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
