Responsibilities

Design and refine large-scale distributed training infrastructure optimized for high-throughput, low-latency operations
Develop frameworks for resource scheduling, parallel gradient computation, and checkpoint recovery in heterogeneous compute environments
Collaborate with research teams to ensure that training environments meet the precision, consistency, and scaling demands of frontier AI systems
Lead integration of custom hardware accelerators with high-performance interconnects and specialized compiler stacks
Architect high-bandwidth data ingestion pipelines capable of supporting continuous learning workloads
Conduct performance profiling and benchmarking to identify bottlenecks and efficiency opportunities across the full computation stack
Define technical standards for reliability, fault recovery, and operational uptime across cloud and on-premise clusters
Ensure infrastructure aligns with energy efficiency, sustainability, and total cost optimization goals
Mentor engineering teams in distributed systems design, dataflow architecture, and performance modeling
Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers, hardware engineers, and product leads to ensure alignment of scientific and commercial objectives

Required

Advanced degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science, or equivalent technical expertise
Minimum 12 years of experience in large-scale distributed systems, HPC environments, or AI infrastructure design
Strong command of parallel computing, memory coherence models, GPU and TPU architectures, compiler optimization, and networking topologies
Proven record of developing scalable infrastructure for machine learning workloads at industrial or research scale
Proficiency in C++, CUDA, and performance-tuned distributed frameworks
Demonstrated experience in optimizing cost, latency, and throughput across diverse compute substrates
Ability to lead engineering programs that combine system design precision with operational discipline
