Designer, Project Team II

Henning Larsen is an international design studio with strong Nordic roots, and they are seeking a designer to join their New York office. The designer will contribute to the design and delivery of complex architectural projects, working semi-independently under the direction of a Project Lead and Project Architect.
Architecture

Responsibilities

Produce design studies, diagrams, renderings, and space planning in support of project design intent
Develop and maintain 3D models and drawings across project phases, organizing project files and documentation in accordance with office standards
Contribute to conceptual and presentation materials for internal reviews, client presentations, and competitions
Draft architectural drawings and assist with documentation from concept through construction documents for assigned scopes
Implement redlines and design direction accurately and efficiently
Collaborate closely with project team members and participate in coordination meetings as directed
Manage time and workload to meet project tasks, while ensuring quality and organization of project deliverables
Support integration of consultant information into architectural documents

Required

Approximately 3–5 years of post-graduate professional experience in architectural practice
Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from a NAAB accredited school
Strong design sensibility supported by solid graphic, modeling, and documentation skills
Inquisitive and creative designers who are open to learning new information while also sharing knowledge with less experienced staff
Proficiency in Rhino, Adobe CS, and other digital design workflows. Revit experience is encouraged but not required
Ability to work semi-independently while taking direction from project leadership, in a collaborative and multidisciplinary international team
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Available to work full-time in person in New York, NY
Fluent in English
