$21/hr - $25/hrTelvero is seeking an NOC Technician to support a Transport Network Operations Center responsible for monitoring and maintaining critical transport network infrastructure. This role focuses on real-time network monitoring, trouble ticket management, and coordination with field operations to restore service quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities
Monitor transport network alarms and respond promptly to network events and customer calls
Open, manage, and close trouble tickets related to network equipment and facilities
Analyze, diagnose, sectionalize, isolate, and resolve network trouble situations
Coordinate repairs with field operations, technical support teams, vendors, and other internal work groups
Assist field operations with equipment restoration activities, including card swaps and maintenance procedures
Follow established Methods of Procedure and proactively identify potential issues before service impact occurs
Correlate and manage multiple trouble reports simultaneously in a fast-paced NOC environment
Provide Tier I support for supported transport platforms and escalate issues as needed to Tier II and Tier III teams
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal customers, peer NOCs, off-net providers, and external customers
Document network failures, maintenance activities, and corrective actions with accuracy and detail
Establish clear, factual documentation to support root cause analysis and prevent issue recurrence
Work assigned shifts in a 24x7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of transport network architecture, services, and systems
Basic understanding of optical transport technologies, including SONET and DWDM or ROADM platforms
Familiarity with digital loop carrier systems is a plus
Strong understanding of telecom network topology and repair procedures
Ability to follow procedures, anticipate problems, and take corrective action with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
Effective written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
Experience working with EMS, OSS, network inventory systems, alarming, and provisioning tools preferred
Prior experience working in a Network Operations Center or technical support role preferred
Industry certifications, technical or business-focused
Recognition or awards for operational excellence or customer service
Prior experience as a technical support specialist or transport NOC technician
