Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our cloud-native Edge Data Platform
Build a portfolio of data platform systems that enable data integration teams that securely connect Tempus’s cloud with healthcare organizations and data networks, enabling efficient and reliable data exchange for clinical, molecular, and imaging datasets
Qualification
Required
You value the importance of defining data contracts, and have experience writing specifications including REST APIs, preferably in Python
You have experience in frontend (React Javascript) development or a strong interest in picking up that skill
You have experience in cloud-native applications and supporting technologies, patterns, and practices including: AWS/GCP cloud services, container orchestration systems, CI/CD systems, event-based integration patterns, and microservices
You know what it takes to build and run scalable resilient cloud-native data pipelines and microservices in production
You've worked in agile environments and are comfortable iterating quickly
You enjoy collaborating and communicating with team members of varying skill sets and from different fields
You embrace GenAI tools in your day-to-day work to boost productivity, accelerate learning, and focus your energy on solving the most impactful problems
Preferred
Healthcare domain knowledge and experience with healthcare transmission formats (e.g. FHIR, HL7, ANSI X12) and data models (e.g OMOP)
Experience in integrating with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Experience building and operating high-throughput data processing systems with spiky workloads
Experience with infrastructure concepts such as networking, linux system administrator and cloud identity federation (e.g. OIDC)
