InternNational Youth Advocate Program is accepting internship applications for the Summer and Fall of 2026 to their Foster Care team. In this role, interns will gain hands-on experience working with the foster care population and will have the opportunity to rotate into other departments to understand the agency's work more comprehensively.

Responsibilities
Working with foster care youth and foster parents
Working in case management
Learning diagnostics assessments and treatment plans
Assessing and engaging with youth
Observing interventions for youth
Interacting with caregivers, parents, foster parents, school staff, office staff and other mental health professionals
Learning documentation and paperwork
Traveling daily, to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families
Interacting with caregivers, parents, foster parents, school staff, office staff and other mental health professionals
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in either a Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work Program from an accredited College or University
An internship or field placement is a requirement by the institution
Upon the completion of the internship, the individual would receive credit toward their pursued degree
Must be 21 years of age at the start of the internship
LSW or SWT licensure required for master's interns
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
Valid driver's license
Reliable personal transportation
Good driving record
Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
