They are seeking a Systems Security Engineer Intern to perform analysis on cybersecurity data, validate secure configurations, and create scripts to support program protection implementation on embedded weapons systems.

Responsibilities
Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results
Create patch artifacts such as patch media and information assurance posture reports; run regression tests on the system
Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets, using DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as Nessus, STIG, Evaluate STIG, and/or RADIX
Create and maintain Linux Bash and Python scripts
Qualification
Required
Must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program by start of summer 2026
Must be pursuing an MS (or higher) degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Specific majors: Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related STEM discipline
Knowledge of data analysis, modeling and simulation, statistics, and various computational techniques for complex multi-variable problems
Quick learner and motivated
Experience with Linux Bash and Python scripting
Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
Knowledge/course work of radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, control theories, estimation theory and/or electro optics
Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI
