Responsibilities
Serve as a technical expert, responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating total, cradle to grave logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment
Develops, refines, analyzes, and issues logistics policies for assigned programs applicable to one or more DoD components
Exercises full program responsibility for automated logistics systems
Serves as a senior command representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters
As an FMS technical expert, responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating total, cradle to grave logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from the concept through field deployment
Provides expert advice for complex FMS case management issues and ascertains that overall program performance is achieved as projected

If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement

Position MAY be subject to random drug testing
Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required

Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest
Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems
Specialized experience includes independently directing, developing, implementing, and/or coordinating total cradle to grave logistics management while functioning as part of a logistics management operation in support of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment
Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition and logistics management processes and initiatives
Knowledge of the application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative assessment methods
Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organization that govern, interface with, and/or influence the logistics management program processes
Skill in staff level planning, organizing, and overseeing critical aspects of development, production, and support of systems, subsystems, or equipment
Ability to integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of logistics functions in support of research, development, production, and support of a system, subsystem or equipment
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy

An accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education must accredit education
