Responsibilities
Provide legal support on various M&A matters, including drafting agreements, driving transaction process, and conducting due diligence
Assist with drafting and negotiating M&A-related agreements, including NDAs, letters of intent, asset purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, employment agreements and other ancillary M&A documents
Manage internal and external transaction processes and drive continuous process improvements and scalability in deal execution
Provide counsel and advise on a range of legal matters for WPCG and its partner firms
Work closely and collaborate with General Counsel throughout the life cycle of transactions
Other transaction and team responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
Admitted in good standing to practice law in at least one state in the United States
Minimum of two to five years of legal M&A experience at a nationally recognized law firm
Highly motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to deliver results within time constraints in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and negotiation skills
Preferred
Experience with financial services acquisitions, preferably in the RIA and/or asset management industries
