Prepare signing and pavement marking PS&E packages and purchase order contracts projects
Develop preliminary and final design concepts, quantity estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines using design software for signing and pavement marking construction plans, sign messages and sign supports
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Working knowledge of principles and practices of civil engineering and construction and maintenance methods
Experience developing, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision, and applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems
Experience in using NCDOT Standard specifications and Roadway Standard Drawings
Experience in Open Roads Designer, MUTCD, and GuideSign
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors
