Director, Metabolic Bone Disease Program

Responsibilities
Oversee and expand a comprehensive, system wide program focused on osteoporosis and related skeletal disorders
Provide clinical, programmatic, and strategic leadership for bone health services across NYU Langone Health
Initiate and lead clinical research in metabolic bone disease, including investigator initiated and/or industry sponsored clinical trials
Collaborate with radiology, primary care, and institutional leadership to optimize implementation, reach, and impact of osteoporosis screening initiatives
Work closely with clinical partners to build coordinated, multidisciplinary pathways for patients with complex skeletal disease
Contribute to the educational mission of the Division through teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students
Qualification
Required
Applicants must hold an MD or MD PhD
be board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
be eligible for medical licensure in New York State
demonstrate established expertise in metabolic bone disease
demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, program development, and multidisciplinary collaboration
Preferred
Competitive candidates will have national visibility in bone metabolism or osteoporosis
a demonstrated track record of leading multicenter or nationally recognized clinical trials in this area
