Analyst Sr, Application

Responsibilities
Provide production support for Primavera Unifier, Primavera P6, Contruent, ScheduleAnywhere, XER Manager, Fuse, and others as required
Software implementation, patch, and upgrade applications supported by the department
Knowledge of applications supported by the department
Develop strong knowledge of business processes utilizing applications supported by the department
Gather and develop functional requirements and technical specifications
Application configuration to meet business and technical requirements
Design and support application interfaces
Application architectural support and coordination with Southern Company technology departments Southern Company Services, Database Administrators, Citrix support, Server Support, Security, and application vendors
Responsible for issue management and resolution by Southern Company and vendor
Build strong relationships with the businesses across Southern Company’s operating companies and Southern Company Services to enable effective implementation and ongoing support
Assist project managers with project oversight and status reports to management and customers
Qualification
Required
Primavera Unifier and P6 application technical implementation and support experience
Experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting software developed by vendors
Experience working with applications in a Citrix environment
Experience working with WebLogic servers
Experience working with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL databases
Knowledge of application software management methodologies, processes and technologies
Demonstrated project management skills with delivery of significant projects on time and within budget
Developed effective working relationships with employees, peers, and management
Demonstrated communication skills both oral and written
Coordinate work across all functions in the Technology Organization
Experience writing SQL
Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills
Strong team leadership and project management skills
Ability to understand strategies to meet customer needs and contribute to achievement of organizational goals
Excellent technical, consulting, and communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other Technology Organization team members
Demonstrated experience as a team player to deliver strong results-oriented team accomplishments

Limited Travel
Signature of Intellectual Property Agreement form is required for all Southern Company Technology Organization employees

Preferred
Knowledge of finance and accounting
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
