Production Support Specialist II , JARVIS
Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems for the benefit of Earth. The Production Support Specialist role is responsible for ensuring a continuous flow of work for technicians by coordinating materials and addressing production needs across various departments.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with Production Control to strategically control the flow of materials to manufacturing work centers
Reconcile any part discrepancies vs. request list; coordinate with Fabrication Control to order replacements or request spares if necessary
Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, quality inspection, non-conformance review board, purchasing, and logistics
Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
Work cross functionally to expedite any material shortages with Production Control and other production areas
Continuously monitor and respond to technician parts needs, including replacements for non-conforming parts, delivery of fasteners and shop stock, moving assemblies to inventory or to the next work center, and other similar duties as requested
Read and understand part transportation requirements specified on the work order
Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production Control to ensure work completes on time to schedule
Monitor the velocity of the disposition of MRB and stranded material
Enter material transactions in ERP system
Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required
Prepare for, conduct, and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts
Knowledge of backflush and Kanban process
Must be able to work well with others, take direction and execute swiftly, be mindful of process improvement opportunities, and be able to problem solve
Identify, catalog, and report manufacturing delays, sources, and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors and Managers
Aggressively enforce safe material handling practices

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation
Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
