Responsibilities
Organize and systematically file all internal digital contracts using established naming conventions and filing protocols
Ensure accurate labeling and categorization of contracts for easy retrieval and reference
Maintain contract databases and tracking systems
Assist with contract review and analysis as needed
Provide assistance with collections matters, including document preparation and case tracking
Conduct legal research on various corporate and commercial law topics
Draft memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents
Support legal team with ad-hoc legal projects and administrative tasks
Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic legal initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited law school, having successfully completed first year (1L)
Strong academic performance with a grade of B or higher in Contracts coursework preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word (required)
Working knowledge of SharePoint for document management
Competency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis
Experience with legal research databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Must be available to work in our Chicago, IL office a minimum of 2 days per week
Full-time availability throughout the summer term
Preferred
Demonstrated interest in corporate law, contract law, or in-house counsel practice
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Previous internship or work experience in professional environment
