Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload from presuit through arbitration or trial
Conduct depositions, draft and argue motions, and handle discovery
Appear in court and participate in arbitration and trial proceedings
Develop and execute creative defense strategies
Work directly with clients, providing strategic guidance on litigation and business issues
Review and analyze medical records in litigation matters
Maintain strong organization and attention to detail while managing volume
Build productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and staff
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience
Strong command of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Active Florida Bar membership
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (Westlaw or Lexis)
Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and think strategically
Preferred
Preference given to those with nursing home defense experience
Partners with a book of business will also be considered
