Early Childhood Tax Program Coordinator
Larimer County Department of Health and Environment is seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator for the Early Childhood Tax Program. The role involves managing the contract from the Larimer County 1B Childcare Tax Initiative to expand access to quality childcare and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Serving as the primary liaison with the 1B Childcare Tax vendor and ensuring compliance with all contract terms and conditions
Providing financial oversight of the contract by monitoring the appropriate and permitted use of program funds
Reviewing and evaluating required contract and program reports to ensure alignment with funding guidelines and quality program standards
Utilizing established quality assurance procedures and processes to ensure adherence to County standards and contractual requirements
Monitoring program compliance with established guidelines, including basic accounting and fiscal management activities
Collaborating with the vendor and the Human Services Communications Team to develop and/or edit public-facing messaging related to program goals, outcomes, and progress
Delivering responsive and professional customer service to internal partners and external program stakeholders
Supporting the identification, communication, and resolution of operational and program-related issues identified through reporting and regular check-ins, and providing recommendations for program improvements to the vendor
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties
Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required
Preferred
Proven experience managing service contracts, including negotiation, execution, and ongoing performance monitoring to ensure compliance and successful outcomes
Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a variety of settings, including staff meetings, partner meetings, and presentations to community leaders
Ability to learn, understand, and apply relevant department and County rules related to contracts, Human Services, and child care programs
Knowledge of the child care industry and related regulatory or operational environments
Demonstrated relationship-building skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County staff, external agencies, and community partners
Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex contract specifications, guidelines, and related reports
Proven experience managing projects and coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams
Experience facilitating and navigating critical or complex conversations among multiple stakeholders
Basic knowledge of budget processes and fundamental financial principles
