Quality Control Specialist
Denssi Pouches is a premium nicotine pouch brand recognized for its quality and innovation. The Quality Control Specialist will oversee product quality during production, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards while conducting audits and maintaining records.

Responsibilities
Perform moisture, pH, density, and appearance checks
Quarantine and document any non-conforming materials
Conduct in-process sampling during mixing, hydration, sieving, and pouching operations
Test batch moisture levels, flavor intensity, nicotine concentration (if applicable), texture, and blend uniformity
Record real-time data and communicate out-of-spec (OOS) results to production and QA leadership
Verify sieving and blending parameters are within approved standards
Inspect finished pouches for weight, size, fill uniformity, seal integrity, and appearance
Perform sensory checks when approved
Verify packaging label accuracy (UPC, SKU, strength, flavor)
Document results and release or hold product based on findings
Complete batch records, QC forms, and inspection logs accurately and in real time
Maintain digital and paper records according to ISO 9001 and internal quality system requirements
Support traceability by verifying lot codes, raw material usage, and documentation completeness
Use QC equipment such as moisture analyzers, scales, sieves, thermometers, and mixers
Perform daily calibration checks (scales, moisture analyzer) and report any deviations
Keep lab tools clean, organized, and audit-ready
Assist with CAPA investigations using tools like 5 Why and Fishbone Analysis
Participate in internal audits and support ISO 9001 readiness
Report and escalate deviations, nonconformances, or safety concerns
Support SOP creation, revision, and adherence on the production floor
Follow all GMP, hygiene, and safety procedures
Handle nicotine-containing materials with proper PPE and caution
Ensure production practices align with regulatory and customer requirements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks
Comfortable using measuring instruments, lab equipment, and basic computer systems (Odoo, Excel, QC logs)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods
Ability to work in environments with powders, flavors, and odors
Strong communication and teamwork
Problem-solving and root cause skills
Accountability and ownership
Adaptability in a startup manufacturing environment
Consistent execution and attention to detail
Must be local to Dallas, TX

Preferred
Technical or science background
1+ year in quality control, food manufacturing, dietary supplements, or similar environment
Understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, or similar quality systems
