Technical Designer

Delta Galil Industries is a global manufacturer and marketer of Private Label apparel products. The Technical Designer will be responsible for driving the fit, construction, and technical execution of products from concept through production, ensuring all products meet brand standards and maintain design integrity.

Responsibilities

Lead fit sessions on live models; analyze fit and balance issues, clearly communicate corrections, and ensure garments meet brand standards while preserving design intent
Create comprehensive tech packs from initial design sketches, translating creative concepts into detailed technical specifications for sample development and production
Coordinate and review all samples for measurement, construction, and workmanship accuracy; identify discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are implemented for subsequent rounds
Proactively identify and recommend solutions that support design intent, improve garment fit and cost, enhance construction, and elevate product quality
Translate the creative vision—silhouette, fabrication, fit intent, and design details—into technical execution aligned with buyer expectations
Demonstrate strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading to troubleshoot fit or production challenges
Track and manage workflow across multiple categories to ensure all seasonal deadlines are met
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Walmart and vendor partners—to ensure sample execution aligns with standards and timelines
Create, update, and maintain detailed technical specifications, construction standards, and fit blocks
Build and review tech packs, ensuring accuracy in measurements, construction details, BOMs, and callouts for sample development and production
Communicate directly with vendors to review samples, resolve technical issues, and ensure corrective actions are implemented for subsequent sample rounds
Contribute to department initiatives such as process improvements, standardizing communication tools, and maintaining a comprehensive fit library

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or a related field
Minimum of 7 years' experience in technical design, preferably within fast-paced, multi-category environments
Strong garment construction, patternmaking, and grading knowledge
Demonstrated experience creating tech packs from sketch through production
Proven ability to evaluate samples for technical accuracy and construction quality
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with technical design, design, product development, production, and external retail partners (e.g., Walmart)
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills; ability to adapt quickly and pivot as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Illustrator
Experience with PLM systems a must, Centric a plus
Ability to collaborate and troubleshoot effectively to ensure product accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery
