Systems Engineer / MSP Technician (Tier 2–3)
American Tech Systems is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies. The role involves designing, deploying, migrating, and supporting modern workplace solutions, while providing technical support and ensuring operational excellence for clients.

Responsibilities
Provide prompt, professional technical support to end users and ensure issues are resolved within defined SLAs
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows and macOS environments
Monitor and optimize tenant health, performance, and security posture using built-in analytics and reporting tools
Create, update, and maintain accurate documentation in IT Glue, including configurations, procedures, and client environments
Log, manage, and resolve support tickets using Kaseya BMS, ensuring complete documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions
Design, configure, and administer Microsoft 365 tenants, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related services
Implement and manage Intune (Endpoint Manager) for device management, compliance policies, application deployment, and endpoint protection
Plan, deploy, and maintain hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID integrations, including identity synchronization
Perform email migrations from on-prem Exchange, Google Workspace, or other platforms to Microsoft 365 using BitTitan or native migration tools
Configure and manage Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and security policies aligned with Microsoft best practices
Troubleshoot directory synchronization (Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect), authentication, and Microsoft 365 service issues
Develop automation and administrative scripts using PowerShell and/or Microsoft Graph API
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess environments, create migration plans, and deliver technical documentation
Set up, support, and maintain client networking hardware, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points (primarily Ubiquiti equipment)
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience managing Microsoft 365, Intune, or Entra ID environments
Hands-on experience with hybrid Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Intune administration
Maintain working knowledge of Windows Server 2016-2022 and Active Directory fundamentals
Familiar with DNS, VPNs, and core networking concepts
Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting experience for automation and reporting
Experience with email and data migration tools such as BitTitan or equivalent
Familiar with security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR preferred)
