Customer Service Representative
Responsibilities
Coordinate international shipping requirements with multiple distribution centers, ensuring accurate and compliant export documentation, including commercial invoices, shipper’s letters of instruction, country of origin documentation, export controls, licenses, and trade certificates (e.g., USMCA)
Review and assess letters of credit for international customers, identifying risk, compliance considerations, and operational feasibility
Support export traffic management activities, including freight routing for air and ocean shipments, freight consolidation, carrier and forwarder selection, and freight quotations
Partner with freight forwarders, brokers, consolidators, and carriers to resolve shipment issues and maintain delivery schedules
Coordinate shipping and scheduling requirements across Rain Bird distribution locations and external logistics partners
Administer and support ERP system setup for order-to-cash processes, ensuring accuracy from order entry through invoicing
Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Compliance) to resolve complex order, shipping, or billing scenarios
Use advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze data, create reports, and support operational and business decisions
Contribute to and lead special projects such as system enhancements, complex ordering or billing workflows, compliance improvements, reporting automation, and business intelligence initiatives
Apply sound judgment and creative problem-solving to navigate exceptions, compliance constraints, and evolving business needs
Cross-train across related customer support and operations functions to provide depth and continuity within the team
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for international logistics and compliance topics within Customer Service Operations
Qualification

Preferred
3–5 years of international logistics and/or trade compliance experience
Working knowledge of export documentation, Incoterms, letters of credit, and global shipping processes
Experience working within ERP systems (order-to-cash)
Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reporting, problem-solving)
Demonstrated success working cross-functionally and contributing to operational or system improvements
Familiarity with irrigation, industrial, or manufactured products is a plus
