Responsibilities
Support capital project scoping and field-based engineering assessments
Perform power system modeling (e.g., load flow studies)
Assist with grid modernization, infrastructure replacement, and resiliency programs
Scope projects involving overhead/underground conductor replacements, programmable capacitor controls, and fuse upgrades
Document and track work using SCE Project Initiation Forms (PIFs) and Master Distribution Interface (MDI)
Provide technical recommendations to improve system reliability and engineering processes
Help train and guide engineering teams on new tools and procedures
Collaborate closely with engineers, field crews, and internal stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (required)
Working knowledge of electric distribution systems, automated equipment, and telemetry
Ability to read and interpret electrical maps and schematics
Familiarity with SCE tools and applications such as CYME, DMS, EMS, Circuit Viewer, ADMS
Basic understanding of power flow and engineering principles
Experience with data validation, troubleshooting, and equipment testing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Apps preferred)
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
