Behavior Analyst (Student Services)

Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is a regional educational service agency, and they are seeking a Behavior Analyst to work within the Office of Student Services. The Behavior Analyst will develop behavior management programs for students with various needs, including those with severe behavioral and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities

Provide consultation to teachers and to program supervisors in observing students presenting management problems and in taking baseline data on their behavior
Provide consultation to teachers and the program supervisor in selecting and developing appropriate data collection techniques
Develop written descriptions of behavior programs for specific students
Provide consultation to teachers and the program supervisor in developing behavior management programs for both specific students and the classroom milieu
Assist teachers in making IEP revisions when they are necessary in order to implement a behavior modification program
Attend IEP meetings with parents along with the teachers and the program supervisor to discuss behavior modification programs
Instruct staff members in the use of passive restraint techniques and assist teachers in applying these techniques when necessary
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator(s)

Required

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
Ability to work as a member of a team. Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people, cooperative, congenial, and self-oriented
Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions
Ability to follow written and verbal directions, ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, ability to read, write, and do simple computation
Ability to operate office equipment, use computer technology efficiently, be a proficient typist, and know how to format business correspondence/reports
Valid PA driver's license; this position will require travel to classrooms/programs throughout Montgomery County
Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI
