Responsibilities
Prepare preliminary layouts and detailed structural designs based on sketches and architectural drawings
Collaborate with other engineers and project team members to develop contract documents and specifications
Perform design calculations and quality assurance checks
Coordinate structural designs with multiple disciplines
Attend project meetings and review contractor submittals
Resolve construction-related issues and perform occasional field measurements or inspections
Deliver projects on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in low- and mid-rise building design
Professional Engineering (PE) license in North Carolina, or eligibility via reciprocity
Strong technical skills, effective communication, and independent decision-making
Preferred
Structural Engineering (S.E.) license
Experience with quality assurance and construction support
