This role involves guiding and empowering adults with mental health needs or learning disabilities to live more independent lives while leading and mentoring support workers.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Service Manager with the smooth running of the service
Leading, supervising, and mentoring Support Workers
Encouraging independence and positive daily living for the people we support
Administering medication safely and in line with best practice
Allocating shifts and duties to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Championing person-centred care and building positive relationships with families
Maintaining accurate, respectful records
Promoting safeguarding, dignity, and confidentiality at all times

Qualification

Required

Experience supporting adults with mental health needs or learning disabilities (in inpatient or challenging settings)
Leadership experience — or the ambition to take that next step
Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach
Strong communication and team-working skills
Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Right to work in the UK

Preferred

Experience with substance misuse is a bonus
