Senior Services Technician (Central Application Processing PCN 021551)

Responsibilities
Review and process applications for Community First Choice (CFC), Personal Care Services (PCS), Medicaid Waiver, and General Relief programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with program requirements
Be the primary point of contact for inquiries from SDS assessors, providers, agencies, staff, and clients across Alaska
Use the Senior and Disabilities Services (SDS) data system (Harmony) to provide timely and accurate information
Assist professionals in managing and administering these programs
Provide paraprofessional support to help ensure services are delivered effectively
Provide clear guidance to the public about program eligibility and requirements
Research statutes, regulations, and policies to confirm their applicability to the programs you support
Take on lead worker responsibilities, coordinating tasks and supporting team members to maintain smooth operations
Occasionally travel within the state of Alaska
Qualification
Required
High school graduation or equivalent
Three years of clerical experience with one year of experience in public health, health care services, senior services, medical assistance programs, health education, nursing, medical social work, health services administration or a closely related field
College education from an accredited college with a course emphasis in social services or a related field may substitute for the required experience
