Student Intern Communications (Unclassified) (Part-Time) - Council District 2
The City of San José is seeking a dedicated part-time Student Intern with a focus on communications and public outreach. This position will serve Councilmember Pamela Campos and perform routine tasks while applying academic training to the required job assignments.

Responsibilities
Ability to create and schedule social media content (lnstagram, Facebook, Nextdoor, Linkedln) to promote Councilmember Campos's initiatives and community updates
Ability to design graphics, flyers, and visuals for social media and outreach materials
Ability to film and edit short video clips to engage constituents and highlight key community issues and events
Ability to monitor social media trends and engagement, providing recommendations to enhance reach and impact
Ability to assist in drafting newsletters, press releases, and other digital content
Ability to assist in organizing logistics for public meetings, forums, and community events
Ability to support event promotion, including designing invitations, social media announcements, and coordinating RSVPs
Ability to provide on-site event support, including setup, check-in, and engaging with attendees
Qualification
Required
Any combination equivalent to completion of high school and current enrollment in an accredited college or university in undergraduate or graduate program
Preferred
Ability to create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, Nextdoor, LinkedIn) to promote Councilmember Campos's initiatives and community updates
